Africa's Environmental Intelligence Platform

Using geospatial intelligence and environmental data to turn natural landscapes into responsible tourism, experiences, and livelihoods.

About Us

Bridging the Gap Between Conservation and Capital

Traditional conservation models rely heavily on donations. RipaCamp designs a data-driven framework that makes protecting rivers and forests a sustainable, profitable partnership.

Reality

Riparian corridors face catastrophic degradation due to sand mining, bank encroachment, and deforestation. Local communities drive this extraction because they lack sustainable livelihoods. Without financial viability, conservation struggles to compete.

Our Solution

RipaCamp processes drone telemetry through geospatial AI to identify high-potential, low-impact sites for ecotourism. By leasing land and hiring locally, we turn protected zones into source-generating community assets.

Active Locations

Conservation Intelligence Camps

Explore our live-monitored, conservation-driven camps where data science directly funds local communities.

ACTIVE PILOT RC-01

River Rwizi Camp

Located along Uganda's second-longest river system in Mbarara. Mapped over a 50km riparian stretch, this camp features off-grid solar telemetry sensors tracking recovery indicators.

Canopy Density 68.4%
Silt Level Stable
Drone Scans Weekly
Suitability Score 94.8%
PIPELINE RC-02

Kagera River Basin

Located in the Uganda-Tanzania border zone. Currently mapping wetland corridors and wildlife paths. Working to finalize land-lease parameters with local councils.

Canopy Density Pending
Silt Level High Risk
Drone Scans Bi-Weekly
Suitability Score 88.5%
PLANNING RC-03

George Wetlands

Positioned in the Lake George wildlife buffer. Designed to monitor and secure bank soils against heavy sand mining, creating a nature-positive eco-lodge corridor.

HOW IT WORKS

A Smarter Way to Conserve Our Environment

RipaCamp connects on-the-ground data, technology, and people to conserve natural water resources.

1

Data from the Field

We execute automated centimeter-level Camera & LiDAR scans to map terrain, banks, and forests.

2

Spatial Scoring

Our models calculate soil stability, water flow indices, and environmental sensitivity scores.

3

Site Matching

Suitability filters discover verified, low-impact camp locations for eco-operators and funds.

4

Eco-Camps Build

Elevated wooden deck camps are built on leased plots, providing local jobs and protecting the river corridor.
